Invitation to online info and partnership building event on “Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values” (CERV) programme

National Contact Points of the EU “Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values” (CERV) programme from Cyprus, Sweden, Germany, Luxembourg, Latvia, Spain and Belgium are organizing an information and partnership building event prior to the call for proposals in the following calls:
Proposals to protect and promote the rights of the child Deadline for submission: Seprember 7th, 2021
Town Twinning & Network of Towns Deadline for submission: August 26th, 2021
Participation in the event is free of charge and will offer participants the opportunity to improve their knowledge of the EU's Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) program and the above-mentioned calls, as well as to find like-minded partners for future projects.
About the CERV program
The CERV program combines the previous EU programs "Europe for Citizens" and "Rights, Equality and Citizenship".
The general objective of the new program is to protect and promote the rights and values enshrined in the Treaty on the Functioning of the EU, the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights and applicable international human rights conventions, in particular by supporting civil society organizations and other bodies active at local, regional, national and transnational level. and promoting civic and democratic participation in order to maintain and develop an open, rights-based, democratic, equal and inclusive society based on the rule of law.
About the event
When: July 5th 2021 from 15:00 to 18:00 (EET)
The Development Partnerships event provides an opportunity for potential applicants to exchange contacts and find partners to apply for CERV program calls. Within the framework of the event, there will be an opportunity to get acquainted with potential partners from Cyprus, Sweden, Germany, Luxembourg, Latvia and Spain. The organizers of the event will provide information about the CERV program and how to apply for funding, provide advice on priorities and expected results.
The event will be held in English language.
Participant profile
Anyone interested is invited to participate in the event, but it will be most suitable for organizations that are interested in twinning of local governments (Municipalities or Local Communities) and Governmental and Non-Governmental organizations working in the field of children rights, which are looking for new European partners.
